You might have heard the story of Will Smith and the brick wall.
It’s difficult to take the first step when you look how big the task is. The task is never huge to me, it’s always one brick. – Will Smith
Taking consistent actions, one step at a time, and he actually built that big baddest wall.
And that shows there’s nothing you can’t do if you break big goals into series of small goals.
I highly recommend you watch this VDO. (Pls let me know if the VDO just pulled down by YouTube)
Inspiring, isn’t it?
What the story didn’t tell us is that Will would never ever succeeded in building the wall if his father didn’t give out exact instructions for him to follow. Step by step and one at a time.
The wall was not built by just laying bricks randomly. If he dug too shallow a hole for the foundation, the wall might have collapsed before he completed it.
If he mixed the concrete with a wrong water-sand ratio, the wall might not have held the bricks.
It’s only for the roadmap his father gave him, AND the fact that he religiously followed it day in and day out that made him succeeded.
The same goes for business. When you have the taking-action mentality, you’re ahead of so many of your competitors.
But do not take random actions
You need a roadmap that tells you what you have to do at what stage of your business, especially if this is the first time you ever run your business.
You have the action-taking mindset, you have the burning desire to succeed, don’t waste your energy taking random action.
Go and find oneroadmap to follow. It’s easy these days to find a good role model and roadmap to follow.
The more important is that you only need one roadmap and one guy you trust.
Just one, so you don’t complicate yourself.
Then follow the right roadmap faithfully and consistently, and you will find that “there’s nothing you can’t do”
