“Did you know that business earns an average of $43 from every $1 invested in email marketing?” – Matthew Paulson, Email Marketing Demystified
If you want to do an online business. Email marketing is your best bet for a long term business.
Why? Because email marketing is literally something you setup once, and you put in on 100% autopilot.
This is why the return on investment is so high.
This email autopilot is called email autoresponder series.
In this multi-part blog series, I’m going to show you a very detailed “step-by-step” how to create the first email autoresponder series (automated series of emails) with Drip.
Alright, before we get started, I wanted to be very clear that I’m using Drip as a tool to manage all my email campaign. I trust it’s the best out there.
Here’re the main reasons why I personally use and recommend Drip
1. Drip’s free and full-featured for the first 100 emails you have on your list
So it’s great for beginners and equally good for a veteran who knows email automation and would like to switch. Big note here that many people make money with an email list of less than 100. Check the offer here.
2. Drip’s very simple to use
Compared to competitors like Aweber, Getresponse, or MailChimp, Drip is much more visual and intuitive. You’d want a tool that helps grow your business quickly. Not a tool that requires you to spend time to learn how to use it.
3. Drip’s offered by the same company as Leadpages
Leadpages is a company that’s providing world-class landing page solution. You can be sure Drip’s gonna be around for a long time. You don’t want to use a software developed by a lesser known company, which can get bankrupted or dissolved and leave you with an old software.
A note here about a not-so-very-good thing about Drip
Drip’s relatively new in the business so the integrations they have with other software/vendor/systems are still comparatively low (compared to MailChimp which’s been around much longer and has integration with almost every single software out there).
It’s not that scary though. Because in reality, you don’t really need that many integrations.
In my opinion, Drip offers more than enough integrations for most people (I’d say 99% of the businesses), especially for beginners.
I personally never have problems with Drip integration.
My recommendation is that if you have a very, very specific feature or integration you can’t live without. Then check it out before you switch to Drip. (Also you can check Zapier, they usually have a solution for you.)
Okay, so for the next blog post we will get to the essence of this tutorial.
