Just a month ago, I went to a seminar that one of the longest standing UK retail pharmacy company arranged.
It’s about the new Warehouse Management System (WMS) that they are implementing.
Warehouse Management System is a piece of very important software that helps you manage thousands, or even hundred thousands, of products.
It was a typical business seminar until the speaker said:
“We didn’t have any Warehouse Management System for the first three years of operation”
It was unbelievable at first for a business of this size.
So I asked my fellow seminar attendees during the coffee break
“Why do you think this global company didn’t have any Warehouse Management System in the first 3 years of operation?”
Here are the top responses:
- They had limited time
- They had limited money
- They could handle it manually since they were small
- They had more important, and urgent, things to do
This is how I translate the answers above:
Because their resources (time and money) was so limited AND they had a way to handle it (even if it’s a manual work), they focused their efforts on what matters more to their business (which is making money and growing revenue)
Looking back to myself (Dear reader, please reflect yours), I used to look for “the solution” to making money online.
I lost thousands of dollars for access to ultimate systems, software, and training. Consuming huge amounts of information and getting overwhelmed by it.
No action taken, because I think I haven’t found the solution to my problem yet.
Worse than losing money, I also wasted a lot of my time trying to find “the solution”.
If you’re a guy of actions, great. If you’re not, then:
Stop wasting your time looking for “the” solution. Just find “a” solution and “take action”
You only need to get closer to your goal every day and you will beat the goal before you know it.
Don’t linger around trying to find the best solution out there, or it’s highly likely that you will still be the same you who keeps looking for the solution forever.
